Weekend Events: Anthem Moonlight Ride, Eagle Classic Tournament & Latin Jazz

5th Annual Anthem Moonlight Ride Saturday, August 16. The ride features a “full moon” 17 mile, and the “Half Moon” – 8 mile courses, free of automobile traffic. The un-timed, family friendly ride takes you through Lakeside, Bryan Park and the near West End and prizes will be awarded for best costume and tackiest lights.  You can register Friday, August 15 at packet pick up 4 -7pm and Saturday 6pm at Sportsbackers Stadium behind the Diamond. Adult registration is $40 and youth $20. Vendor Village opens at 6pm, Rides begins at 8pm in waves at 8pm, and Agee’s Post Ride Party at 9pm. Riders are required to have a helmet and a front white light, Sportsbackers will provide a back light. Details at http://www.sportsbackers.org.

24th Annual Down Home Family Reunion, Saturday’s free festival is in Abner Clay Park , Belvidere & West Leigh Streets (at I-95 & exit 76B Interchange) features Headliners Ray, Goodman & Brown, African Dance & The Oral Tradition with Elegba Folklore Society, Nathan and the Zydeco Cha-Chas, Proverbs Reggae Band, and returning Emcee J.
