ASHLAND, Va. — The afternoon storm that rumbled across Central Virginia Tuesday dumped two to three inches of rain in one hour on Ashland.
The rain produced a flash flood that damaged cars parked outside Pool Builders Supply of Virginia on Dow Gil Road, south of Ashcake Road.
Warehouse manager Dwayne Walker said the flood totaled his 2002 Mercury Sable.
“It’s never been that bad before,” Walker, who has worked at Pool Builders Supply for three years, said about the flooded parking lot.
He said he believed the water rose four or five feet high.
