RICHMOND, Va - Margaret S. Johnson, Executive Director of Roses & Wings, brought along a few members of the Roses & Wings mentoring program to share with us a joyful praise performance and spread the mission of this non-profit child advocacy program. The mission of Roses & Wings is to end juvenile delinquency by implementing strategies that intercept, address, and inoculate a child’s interest in negative influences in life. Participants are elementary and middle school aged girls who engage in a nine month, 36 hour program. Roses & Wings promotes self-esteem, self-empowerment, and most importantly, self-efficacy.
