Children in pond find alligator swimming with them

Some children swimming in a pond in Texarkana, Texas found there was an uninvited guest swimming with them -- an eight-foot-long alligator.

At first, the children thought it was a small alligator. They realized, though, it was much larger when it chased them out of the pond.

They ran and told their parents, who called wildlife officials. The alligator was actually pregnant, and put up much resistance when wildlife officials tried to capture it.

Eventually, though, they were successful. The alligator is now at a wildlife park.
