paintingBenjamin Hughes posted a short video showing a 3D painting that shifts perspectives as the viewers approaches it.

The painting, by Brian Weaver, was filmed while on display at The  Gallery at Ice in the United Kingdom.

Brian, who resides in the United Kingdom, makes 3D art. He specializes in 3D confectionary art, Cave Art and art that moves when viewed.

The style of the painting in the video is a reverse perspective, a style attributed to artist Patrick Hughes. He is considered the creator of “reverspective,” which is an optical illusion on a 3-dimensional surface where the parts of the picture which seem farthest away are actually physically the nearest.

Weaver’s art is on display at The Gallery of Ice through July 24.
