Motorcyclist leads police on vehicle pursuit across two counties

HENRICO, Va. – A motorcyclist led police on a pursuit early Saturday morning.

According to Henrico police, around 5:19a.m., a motorcycle was seen speeding on I-64 east bound near Nine Mile Rd. When officers attempted to stop the motorcycle, the driver failed to stop and attempted to flee.  A vehicle pursuit was initiated. The driver traveled south on I-295, crossed the Varina – Enon Bridge near Chesterfield and voluntarily stopped. The driver, James Markle Jr., of Henrico County, is  charged with: Felony Eluding police, Reckless Driving, and operating a motorcycle without a Class M endorsement.

    Yes but Grandma and Grandpa can drive an RV that is bigger than a greyhound bus and tow a trailer on a regular license with no enforcement. Then they can slap on a FARM Tag or even a ANTIQUE tag and never get it inspected. All of this effort to get this guy on a bike.

    Do motorbikes have to obey the same speed limits as other motor vehicles.? I am not sure. My observations say they can go a lot faster, and can weave in and out of traffic without signals. But, that may not be the case. I am confused.
