RICHMOND, Va. – Early morning storms resulted in a messy start to the Thursday morning commute. Scroll down for live updates.
I-95 south (Henrico) – All lanes are closed north of Rt. 301 (mm 82) due to an oversized vehicle being unable to clear the Route 1 overpass.
The vehicle is currently located on the shoulder near mm 81 and will be moved to mm 82 where it will be able to exit the roadway. Expect delays.
I-95 north and I-64 west in Richmond – The right lane has reopened on I-95 north. The backup on I-95 north is now 4 miles and the backup on I-64 west is now 1 mile. Expect delays.
I-95 south (Henrico) – The left and center lanes are closed near Brook Rd./Rt. 1 (mm 81) due to a crash. There is currently a 3 mile backup. Expect delays.
I-95 north (Chesterfield) – The right lane has reopened. The backup is now 1 mile long. Expect residual delays.
I-95 north (Chesterfield) – The right lane is closed near Chippenham Pkwy. (mm 67) due to a crash.
There is currently a 5 mile backup. Expect delays.
I-95 north and I-64 west in Richmond – There is a 5 mile backup on I-95 north beginning at mm 71 and a 3 mile backup on I-64 west beginning at mm 193 due to congestion.
The right lane is closed on I-95 north at mm 76 (Chamberlayne Ave.) due to high water, according to VDOT.
