CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Police are looking for a man accused of using a cell phone to shoot video of a woman in a Target dressing room. The incident happened about 9:40 p.m. on April 1 at the Target on Weir Road in Chesterfield.

"The victim was in a fitting room when she saw a hand holding a cell phone under the stall door. She opened the stall door and confronted the suspect, who walked away and exited the store," Chesterfield Police said.

The crime has left some shoppers a little nervous.

"That is upsetting," said Darlene Edmonds.

"This is known to be a good area of Chesterfield.  So, I'm shocked to know that's going on here," said Phynice Tyson.

"Does it make you want to shy away from trying on clothes in the fitting room?" asked CBS 6 reporter Sandra Jones.

No, definitely not," said Kate Whetsell. "There's weirdos everywhere."

"So, that's not really surprising. There's always going to be someone who wants to like look up people's skirts. People do it all the time in public," Whetsell said.

CBS 6 found out that this is the second time this crime happened in Chesterfield county this year, and the last case before that was reported in 2012.

This concerned shopper will be on alert before she steps into a store fitting room.

"I personally.  I go in there and I do look around.  I always check underneath to see if anything is there.  And I do check for holes in the walls," said Darlene Edmonds.

But others tell CBS 6 that store management should do more to protect it's customers.

There's no personnel at the door or most any place you go now.  You use to have someone there.  But most of the places have gotten relaxed with it.  And they don't have anybody there," said Tyson.

Police described the suspect as a black male, about 23-27 years old and 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was seen driving a black, four-door car, possibly a Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Anyone with information is asked to call Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660.
