SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities announced Wednesday they have arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection with an 11-year-old Sampson County girl’s death last year, according to WTVD.

McKenzie Mae Sessoms, a student at Salemburg Elementary School, was found unresponsive on her living room couch by her father on Sept. 6, 2013.

Sheriff Jimmy Thornton said the male suspect was arrested Tuesday night after an eight-month investigation. The suspect’s name has not been released by officials.

An autopsy revealed Sessoms had been sexually assaulted and suffocated.

The suspect is currently being held in a detention center in New Hanover County.

!4 years old? Is that too young to try as an adult? That’s pushing the youngest age. I would say hang him, but could listen to legit reasons why not.

If it can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he did do this then try him as an adult and prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law.

Are you seriously this dense? Do I really have to prove you wrong again David? If you are as intelligent as you claim why can’t you ever comment on the article itself? And what is your fascination with me? It seems like I can’t turn around and there you are stalking me.
