HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The big winner at TOYOTA OWNERS 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at RIR Saturday night might not be decided on the track. In fact, the big winner may have already won, hours before the green flag dropped.

An RIR photographer captured this image about 2:30 Saturday afternoon during the Track Takeover event.

A race fan got on one knee, pulled out a ring and popped the question, much to the apparent surprise of the woman in the photo (not to mention the race fans around them).

From all of us here at CBS 6, may your life be free of yellow caution flags.

this race better have lots of cautions. The lack of action at this track and others has killed the sport so much there still not sold out.sorry but its a boring race and has gotten worse over the last few years

That race suxs, can’t even sell it out anymore. NASCAR should pull out of Richmond, I don’t know anyone who goes anymore. Rain delays, cautions, and corporate created drivers have killed the sport.

@doyle, I guess since you dont know anyone that goes to the race that NASCAR should pull out of Richmond? I’d say that was probably the dumbest thing I’ve read until you mentioned rain delays (which can happen any and everywhere). Daytona 500 had over 5 hours of rain delay, should they stop racing there too? I guess the squirrels should think about leaving Richmond also because of rain outs. There was no rain for Saturday’s race, only sun and 80 degrees all day. And the 90000+ people that were at the track might disagree about NASCAR leaving richmond.

Laughable Doyle. This track has been one of the least affected by the recession. None of the tracks sell out anymore.
By the way the race Sat. night was EXCELLENT.
