RUTHER GLEN, Va. (WTVR) – A big plume of black smoke coming from a fireball.
That was the image a CBS 6 viewer sent in Monday morning during a truck fire outside the Flying J truck stop along Interstate 95 south in Ruther Glen.
The photo was taken about 9:15 a.m.
The fire was extinguished and the truck stop reopened for business by 11 a.m., according to Flying J’s general manager Bill Painter. He said the gas pumps had not yet been turned back on.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
It did not appear anyone was injured in the fire, Painter said.
