Teen sexting investigation spans six Va. counties

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – A massive teen sexting investigation involving six Virginia counties is now underway. The investigation started in Louisa County a few weeks ago after nude photographs of a 14-year old and two 15-years olds were discovered on Instagram.

Within days, investigators uncovered more than a thousand sexually explicit photos being shared on two Instagram accounts involving teens from Albemarle, Fluvanna, Orange, Goochland, and Hanover counties.

Investigators have seized nearly 24 cellphones.

Possessing child pornography is a felony in Virginia.

This is a developing story.

How do you tell this girl is even 15? I was shopping with my Thia girlfriend who’s 62 and met one of her new friends and I swore she was 15 but she was 27. And it looks like this girl is taking her on pic, what’s with that?

Virginia is obsessed with child porn. Teens are going to take naked pictures of themselves and share them with other teens. They did this when I was in high school, with a different medium. I guess Polaroid pictures are harder to track remotely than Instagram.

Virginia – Please leave these kids alone. This is a problem for the parents, not the justice system. We don’t need more kids padding the roles in private juvenile prisons so your cronies can get paid off of kickback fat. These kids don’t need a felony record. This type of stuff happened in PA, and judges went to prison when the story broke. C’mon, Virginia, don’t be that creepy state fixated on “seyaks ayund thee byebill!”.
