RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Authorities have found a missing 64-year-old veteran who wandered away from McGuire VA Medical Center on Wednesday.

Missing man:  Stanley Wright Stanley Wright was discharged from McGuire VA Medical Center late Wednesday and then transported to Sitter Barfoot Veterans Care Center, according to McGuire VA Medical Center Public Affairs Officer Darlene Edwards.

Officials said Wright then returned to McGuire medical, where he was last spotted near an entrance.

Officials said Wright was found safe on Williamsburg Road Thursday evening.

Additionally, Edwards said Wright has “an altered mental status and a history of wandering.”
