RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — A car fire Wednesday afternoon snarled traffic on I-64 west at the Shockoe Valley bridge.

VDOT reported the left and center lanes of the interstate were closed at mm 190 (near Shockoe Valley bridge) for nearly an hour because of the fire.

However, the right lane to I-95 north remained open, but drivers were warned to expect delays.

All lanes reopened around 1:40 p.m.
