Man barricades himself in Gilpin Court home after stabbing

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Richmond Police have resolved a barricade situation that put two people in the hospital including the suspect.

Officers responded to the 400 block of West Charity Street in the Gilpin Court housing community around 7:15 Saturday night for a domestic assault call.

We're told when officers arrived they found an adult female suffering from a stab would.

She was then transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they believed the man responsible was inside a home in the area.

Officers set up a perimeter and after multiple attempts to contact the suspect the SWAT team made entry.

The adult male suspect was found inside a home suffering from self-inflicted wounds.

He was also taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

We're told during the investigation several roads in and around the housing complex were closed.

    u is?really this is what what tax money goes to.Here is a idea.Take that money and learn to speak,raise your children and vote for someone based on something other then race.I would say level gilpen court but they did that with crestview and suburban in the west end and all of you just moved farther west and killed this area also.

    HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—On Saturday afternoon, the Henrico County Police Division arrested two drunk women at a restaurant, one of whom allegedly strangled a 2-year-old inside the establishment.

    Around 4:25 p.m. on Feb. 15, Henrico Police responded to the Applebee’s at 9601 W. Broad St. in Glen Allen for a report of two intoxicated females. Officers observed Dawn Marie Ellyson attempting to leave the parking lot in a vehicle. Police stopped her and discovered she was driving impaired. Officers discovered pills inside Ellyson’s car.

    Henrico, VA—Police report a domestic incident which resulted in a man being stabbed and a woman being arrested early Sunday morning, June 17.

    Nicole Huber, 30, was fighting with her boyfriend, who police have not identified, in the early morning hours Sunday at a home in the 2800 block of Laflin Place in Henrico.

    At approximately 2:00 AM, Huber stabbed the male victim with a knife, and left him with a non-life threatening wound four inches wide and ¼ inch deep.

    When police were called to the scene, Huber fled, but was apprehended a short distance from her home. She has been charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault

    HANOVER, VA (WWBT) – Two days before Sabrina Markham was found shot to death inside her Hanover home, she was in court taking out a two-year protective order against her estranged husband, whom police say will be charged with her murder.

    Ryan Markham was the subject of multiple protective orders and appeared in court on an assault charge, also two days before the killing according to court records.
