RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Huguenot High School students are back in class after they were evacuated Thursday morning when a smoky smell filled a hallway inside the South Richmond school. An electrical issue was the source of the smell, Richmond Schools spokeswoman Felcia Cosby confirmed.

The school day at Huguenot High begins before 7:30 a.m. Cosby said the students returned to class by 8:30 a.m.

The Richmond Fire Department arrived at the school to investigate the smoky smell.
