Chesterfield Police investigate ‘school fight’ Instagram account

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A new Instagram account called “CCPS Fights” allegedly shows fisticuffs between Chesterfield students while others capture the brief brawls on their camera phones. The violent videos show young people duking it out.

“The videos are disturbing and need to end,” Chesterfield parent Cecelia Hargrove said. “If not, someone is going to get real hurt.”

Chesterfield County Schools spokesman Sean Smith said the school system is aware of the videos, but stressed no Chesterfield students nor schools have been identified.

Chesterfield Police confirmed they are investigating the videos.

The CCPS Fights Instagram account amassed more than 3,600 followers in the four days since it started.

I’m curious as to who “those” people are ? And what “culture” others are referring to? Chesterfield Public Schools represents a wide variety of different people and many different cultures…and after looking at the instagram account it’s pretty much a variety of different Chesterfield Public Schools…Idk

If they are considering punishing not only the kids who are fighting, but the kids who are sharing it on social media sites, then why is the news broadcasting it. If kids should know better, shouldn’t adults know better also? This isn’t setting a very good example..
