NY firefighters battle recycling plant fire

Posted

BROOKLYN, NY (WTVR) – Firefighters in New York worked overnight to put out a warehouse fire.

The fire broke out around 7 p.m. Tuesday and by Wednesday morning, crews were still working to get it under control. The fire damaged the recycling center so badly, it prevented crews from fighting the fire from the inside.

Fire officials said no one was injured and all the facility workers were accounted for.

The area where the center is located is largely industrial, so no homes were in danger.

The cause is under investigation.
