Clerk’s health improves as investigators hunt for shooter

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The store clerk shot in the head during a weekend robbery has stabilized and her condition is improving, according to Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jeff Pearce.

The clerk, a 32-year-old woman, was shot two times early Saturday morning when a man robbed the Fas Mart on Brock Road.

While investigators said they received a lot of leads after releasing a photo of the suspect, they still had not positively identified the man in the picture.

The suspect is described as a white male approximately  25-30 years old, 5’4”-5’7” feet tall, 160-170 lbs with a distinctive black goatee. Last seen wearing a dark hoodie and jeans, armed with an unknown caliber handgun.
