The beloved film “Annie” gets a hard-knock life reboot this December, and a first glance was just released.

Oscar-nomanted Quvenzhane Wallis will star as the orphaned youngster in the new edition produced by Will and Jada Smith and Jay Z.

The Columbia Pictures movie, which open Dec. 19, has been planned for awhile. The LA Times reports that the Smiths’ daughter, Willow, was to be featured in the lead role, but she aged out of consideration.

Jamie Foxx play Benjamin Stacks and Cameron Diaz is cast as headmistress Miss Hannigan.
