CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Charges were dismissed against a Richmond Police officer who was initially accused of exposing himself outside Chesterfield Towne Center in October 2013.

During a November hearing, the indecent exposure charge was charged to a trespassing charge after the officer’s lawyer argued his client pulled over in the mall’s parking lot to go to the bathroom. A woman who witnessed the incident called police.

The officer pleaded  no contest to the trespassing charge. Prosecutors offered to drop the charge if the officer completed mental counseling with the Richmond Police Department and stayed out of trouble.

The charge was dismissed during a Feb. 26 hearing.
