SUNBURY, Penn. (WTVR) --  A 19-year-old satanist who admitted to killing a Pennsylvania man she and her husband met on Craigslist said she has murdered more than 22 others.

WNEP reports that Elytte and Miranda Barbour are accused of luring 42-year-old Troy Laferrara through an ad on Craigslist, then stabbing him to death, just so they could kill someone together. Laferrara’s body was found in Sunbury last year on Nov. 12 last year.

Barbour and her 22-year-old husband face several charges including criminal homicide in that case. Both have pleaded not guilty.

Francis Scarcella of The Daily Item newspaper in Sunbury is one of the reporters who has been covering the case. For over a month, he’s tried to interview Miranda Barbour in jail.

During a Friday night prison interview, Barbour admitted to killing victims in Alaska, California, North Carolina and Texas. As to an exact number, Barbour said she stopped counting when she hit 22.

Police confirmed that they had been working with the FBI and law enforcement from other states about Barbour’s possible connection to other slayings.

Additionally during the interview, Barbour said she considered sparing Laferrara's life -- until he said the wrong thing.

“I lied to him and told him I just turned 16,” Barbour told The Daily Item. “He told me that it was OK. If he would have said no, that he wasn’t going to go through with the  arrangement, I would have let him go.”

Barbour told the newspaper that she felt no remorse and that she had only killed "bad people."

"If I were to be released, I would do this again," Barbour is quoted as saying.

According to Scarcella, Barbour also said she was sexually molested when she was 4 years old. She said the man who led her to satanism introduced her to murder when she was 13.

Scarcella described Barbour as mild mannered during and said that she never hesitated once during the interview.

"Miranda had sent me a letter and said she wanted to speak,” Scarcella told WNEP.
