Snow Happy! from Tyler Hart on Vimeo.
HENRICO, Va. (WTVR)–First it was “Bohemian Rhapsody” and then it was “Ice Ice Baby.”
Snow closings just aren’t the same unless you can make up good snow lyrics and drop them over a familiar beat.
Now the tune is “Happy,” chosen for obvious reasons, because tomorrow would be a great day to close: it’s Friday, it’s Valentine’s Day AND there is all this white stuff on the ground and roads.
Thus, Henrico school employee Tyler Hart is ready for Andy Jenks, who announces the Henrico snow closings, to make the “right” call. Henrico has not announced a closing, YET. But maybe if you share this post thousands of times, it will work. HA! Just kidding!
“Clap along if you feel like a snow day is for you,” Hart sings in his video. Followed appropriately, given all the recent wintry weather, by “Clap along if you feel like we’ll be in school until June.
Mr. Jenks is certainly a celebrated man.
On Wednesday Glen Allen High Schoolstudents also pandered to his snow power by creating an oversized Valentine for him.
Check out the video that started it all with the principal at Stephens Elementary School in Burlington, Kentucky, singing about a closure to the tune of “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
And “Ice Ice Baby” is below.
