Woman hurt in Route 301 hit-and-run

CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A Silver Dodge truck hit a woman crossing Route 301 in Bowling Green and then drove off early Thursday morning, law enforcement sources told CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett.

Virginia State Police said the accident happened on northbound Route 301 south of Wagon Wheel Road around 1:20 a.m.

The vehicle in question was last seen headed north toward King George County on Route 301.

The 44-year-old woman suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries, the sources indicated. She was taken by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital.

Virginia State Police said based on their investigation, the truck has damage to the front end.
