HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Two SkateNation employees were arrested and charged with embezzling money from the Short Pump ice skating rink.

Benjamin Suleski, 34, and Christina Turner, 24, were arrested Feb. 7.

“Management of a recreational facility in the 4300 block of Pouncey Tract Rd. reported funds were used without permission of the business by two employees,” a Henrico Police spokeswoman confirmed via email. “The investigation continues as to how long this had occurred.”

Police would not go into specifics about the money the pair was accused of using, but the charge indicated the sum was more than $200.

More charges could be filed in this case, police said.

More than $200?! And this is news? I remember the days when people would embezzle hundreds of thousands! These kids are slackers!!!

    • Sarah

You don’t know what happened. At the end of this case your foot will be in your mouth about that comment. It says over 200 think about how many numbers are over 200 and reconsider that comment.

  • opionated_and_proud_of_it

More than $200 could mean anything. It could be hundreds or thousands. Don’t be surprised to find out that they stole quite a bit of money when everything is made public.

Love how the news exaggerates stories like this. They haven’t proven anything yet so don’t jump to conclusions

  • Chuck

$200 is the felony charge level…enough to get arrested and all…total could be thousands or higher…wait and see. Very disappointed though becaue something like this could cripple a business like this! : (

Public information. Charged on 3 separate accounts. Think you’ll be eating words when it goes to trial. Three felony charges with more possibly pending. Sound to me that someone got greedy! What a shame too, this is our youth and how humiliating to the parent(s) that raised them. Good luck finding a job. Selfishness and greed doesn’t allow one to think out of their box and the consequences it bring for the REST OF YOUR LIFE! Stupid move on their part. Check out the LIS for the code, basically it stands for MORE than 200$, felony grand larceny. They’ve probably been skimming off the top for a long time and got stupid IMO.

yes George, they are charges! To charge someone with such a crime x3 and pending more is much more than just speculation for law enforcement to “whip” up something and go after them because they’re not guilty. LOL prosecutors had to have something to move forward.

Last time I checked it was “innocent until PROVEN guilty”. Now because these two have been arrested does not mean they did it – it just means there is evidence enough to warrant arrest. It could be that someone else stole the money and is blaming them – up to and including the owner. Not that I think it’s likely – more than likely they did in fact steal the money but jumping to conclusions over what is presented in this article is a bit hasty.

They were buying weed from kids and teens in skate nation. every friday and saturday skate nation is a drug dealing business because of so many teens that they allow inside there and they know all about it!

  • Kim

Yeah that place is a big drug location. Where in the hell do you come up with such a BS story?! Now you people are talking nonsense and making things up as you go along. Shame on you
