LOS ANGELES – KTLA anchor Sam Rubin apologized on air to Samuel L. Jackson after a mix-up during a live satellite interview with the actor.

“I’m really embarrassed about it, and I very much apologize to Samuel L. Jackson and anyone else who was offended for what was a very amateur mistake,” Rubin said.

The KTLA anchor had asked Jackson “Did you get a lot of reaction to that Super Bowl commercial?” “What Super Bowl commercial?” Jackson asked. “You’re as crazy as the people on Twitter. I’m not Laurence Fishburne.”

These two segments aired on the KTLA 5 Morning News on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014.
