President Hollande of France will tour Monticello with President Barack Obama on Monday, February 10, as part of a state visit.

The official White House release states that the Monticello residentce reflects Thomas Jefferson’s affection for the people of France, the long-standing relations between our two democracies, and the shared values we hold dear: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Jefferson was one of the United States’ earliest envoys to France.

Let’s put it to brass tacks….If it weren’t for France’s help, the United States would not exist. If it weren’t for France, there would be no Statue of Liberty. On the flip side, if it weren’t for us either, France would be speaking German. No need to be sorry, Troye. Our countries are more mutually connected than your seemingly feeble mind could ever comprehend. Have a nice day.
