Va. mom charged after ‘hungry’ 4-year-old calls 911

BRISTOW, Va. (WTVR) — Police have charged a Virginia mother after her four-year-old son called 911 saying that he was hungry.

WJLA reports Love Franklin’s child called operators Wednesday morning. Officers dispatched to the Prince William County home said it was mess and that they could not find Franklin.

Police have not said how long the child was left alone, but did charge Franklin with felony child neglect.

WJLA reports Franklin’s Linked in page said she worked as a student teacher and was hoping to write a children’s book.
