UPDATE: Barry Mallory, 51, of the 7100 block of Nesbitt Drive, has been charged with felony hit and run, according to Richmond Police. Other charges may be filed.

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–A pedestrian was fatally struck in the 3200 block of Chamberlayne Thursday night.

At 9:40 p.m. police received a call for a pedestrian hit. When crews arrived a man was lying in the median.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police then investigated the incident as a hit and run fatality.

A vehicle came back to the scene, with damage to the car.

An arrest was made of the driver.

Those are all the details police would release. The scene is still under investigation.
