UPDATE: Police were looking for Chesterfield husband before he killed his wife
CHESTER, Va. (WTVR) - Chesterfield Police identified the couple killed in Sunday's apparent domestic-related murder-suicide as Nequia S. Davidson, 39, and her husband, Terrell D. Davidson, 38.
"At this point, evidence at the scene suggests that Terrell Davidson shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself," Chesterfield Police wrote in an email.
Police responded to a shots fired call in the 1200 block of Mason Ave. and Spring Ave. in Chester around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
"Both adults were pronounced deceased at the scene," police said in an overnight email.
"Forensics investigators were focused on a Silver SUV. No word on its involvement yet," CBS 6 reporter Jake Burns tweeted from the scene Monday morning. "Early reports indicated some sort of crash happened on Mason Ave. Police have not said if that is still a part of the investigation."
Police said they found the victims in a vehicle on scene.
