Man shot in chest in city’s East End

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- A man was found shot in the chest in Richmond's East End early Sunday morning.

Police responded to calls for multiple gunshots just after 5 a.m. in the 2300 block of Bethal Rd.

Richmond Police Lt. Bender said officers found a 28-year-old man shot in the chest.

The victim was taken to VCU Medical center with life threatening injuries.

A suspect description is not available at this time.
