CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Chesterfield firefighters were dispatched to a small apartment fire Tuesday morning.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. at the Falling Creek Apartments off Jeff Davis Highway, just south of the Chippenham Parkway.

Lt. Jason Elmore with Chesterfield fire and EMS said one apartment was damaged after the unit’s water heater apparently malfunctioned.

Two people were displaced. No one was injured.
