Stafford Co. fire truck hits pedestrian

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident where a fire truck hit a pedestrian.  This happened while they were responding to a call.

The man was hit shortly before 9 p.m. on Friday on Warrenton Road as he was crossing the street.  The fire truck was on the way to a car accident on I-95.

According to preliminary investigations, the man was not using a crosswalk and was in a dark section of the six lane road when he was hit.

The man was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
