GLEN ALLEN, Va. (WTVR) – No one was injured in a basement fire at a home on Carrington Woods Dr. near Echo Lake Park in Henrico.
“The first unit arrived on scene with light smoke from the residence. All occupants had evacuated the residence safely,” Henrico Fire Lt. Jackson Baynard wrote in an email. “Henrico Fire units then initiated an interior fire attack on the fire in the basement. The quick control of the fire and early ventilation helped limit the damage to the residence. There were no injuries to the occupants or firefighters. The fire was determined to be accidental.”
The fire was reported about 12:52 p.m.
