Break-in reported at Heritage restaurant

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Police are investigating a break-in at one of Richmond’s most acclaimed new restaurants. Thieves broke into Heritage, along the 1600 block of West Main St., early Monday morning.

“No real damage, they got away with an empty cash register box,” someone tweeted from the restaurant’s official Twitter account. “This alarm is like the loudest thing on earth. Richmond PD got here fast, they do great work.”

The break-in happened about 3 a.m., according to the Richmond Police crime report.

Last week Heritage was nominated for several Richmond Magazine Elby Awards including:

  • Restaurant of the Year
  • Excellence in Service
  • Front of House Manager
  • Beverage Program
  • Chef of the Year
