One confirmed dead after Henrico shooting

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- There are more questions than answers after a person was fatally shot in the head in a Henrico home Sunday evening.

The shooting took place inside a house in the 8800 block of Midway Road, which is a about a mile away from Regency Square Mall, around 8 p.m.

Police, who were interviewing witnesses inside the home when the shooting happened, told CBS 6 News' Joe St. George that they are not actively looking for suspects.

Police are not confirming the identity of the victim, but multiple witnesses said a man’s body was taken from the scene.

Witnesses also said a female and other family members were interviewed by officers.

Additionally, police said they have not determined if this is a homicide or death investigation.
