PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Virginia State Police have released the names of the victims killed in a single-vehicle wreck on I-95 in Prince George County Saturday afternoon.

State police said three members of the Willis family, a son, mother and grandfather died after their car struck a tree.

Officials said 21-year-old Isiah S. Willis and 47-year-old Cindy Willis, of the 200 block North Street SW Washington, and 69-year-old Thomas Willis, of the 2800 block 4th Street NE Washington, D.C., died at the scene.

Police said the accident happened near mile marker 42 just after 1 p.m. when the family’s car ran off the left side of the road.

As the 21-year-old driver over-corrected, the car crossed over the northbound lanes, ran off the right side of the intersection and slammed into a tree.

No one was wearing a seat belt, according to state police spokeswoman Corinne Geller.

State police are still investigating what caused the crash.
