PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Virginia State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left three people dead on I-95 in Prince George County.
The accident occurred near mile marker 42 at 1:07 p.m.
A sedan, traveling north, ran off the left side of the road. The driver over-corrected, causing the car to cross over the northbound lanes. The car then ran off the right side of the intersection and hit a tree.
The adult male driver, adult male passenger and female passenger died at the scene. No one was wearing a seat belt, according to state police spokeswoman Corinne Geller.
Police will not release the names of the victims until their families have been notified.
