RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - Sisters Allie Cushing and Monica Van Cleve owned and operated a very successful restaurant in Spotsylvania and Monica recently competed on Lifetime's reality show, Supermarket Superstar. Today, they shared their recipe for simple Shrimp Fritters!

Simple Shrimp Fritters

If you have a craving for conch fritters, this will definitely satisfy the craving!  Serve with a Yum-Yum sauce and see them disappear.  This recipe makes enough for a small get together and the large golf-ball sized fritters could even be served as a first course.  

SHRIMP    2 pounds boiled, deveined, shelled and minced

SHALLOTS    1/2 cup minced

FLOUR    4 cups

EGGS    2 beaten

MILK    2 cups (whole)

SALT    1 t

WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE    ½ t

PEPPER    ½ t

CAYENNE    1 t

OIL    to fry in

Mince or grind shrimp with shallots, add flour, salt, pepper, cayenne, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, and milk.  Blend and drop by tablespoons into hot deep fat, fry five minutes or until brown. Drain on
