ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) — A missing 75-year-old woman was found dead in Charlottesville Sunday. Virginia State Police issued a senior alert for Evelyn Mae Turner, who suffered from a cognitive impairment, on Saturday.

The Albemarle County Police Department said Turner was found dead Sunday in a wooded area at the end of Tennis Drive, which is in the Four Season community.

That’s not far from where she was last seen walking into the West Park Market on Four Season Drive on Saturday.

Officials said there is no indication of foul play.

Over 15 agencies across Virginia were involved in the search for Turner.

Dear Community, PLEASE SHARE! I live in Four Seasons. I take a short cut to the Market Evelyn was last seen. I called 911 yesterday and told them that’d be a good place to look. The disbatcher told me he’d pass the information and maybe I could take them there. I never got a phone call. This morning I called Albermarle Police Dept. And she told me they arleady had people and dogs all in the Four Seasons area. I told her, “No! You have to check the short cut! There are 2 ponds. She could very well be there!” She brushed everything I had said off. My point is, if my information was taken seriously YESTERDAY she could still be alive; not having to sleep the night outside!!!! I believe this story should be shared! I wasn’t taken seriously and I feel they gave up TOO fast! My mom is at a near nursing home called Trinity for dementia. I saw Evelyn there Friday around 3 p.m. as well. Just please pass this on. When someone calls information in, it NEEDS TO BE MOVED ON!
