Teen charged with stealing Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad ambulance

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Police arrested a Richmond teenager for stealing an ambulance from the Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad on Pump Rd. Zachery Dalton Oakey, 19, is charged with Breaking and Entering and Grand Larceny.

Rescue squad volunteers told police they noticed someone pried open a window in the rescue squad building Wednesday and entered the squad’s garage bay.

Several people later spotted the stolen ambulance driving along Patterson Ave. Wednesday afternoon.  Police pulled it over near the intersection of Patterson Ave. and Gaskins Rd. where they arrested Oakey.
