WAYNESBORO, Ga. (Fox8) – A Georgia city is getting specific about its Halloween protocol. According to the website for Waynesboro, only children ages 12 and under are permitted to trick-or-treat.

Furthermore, they must also be in costume and accompanied by a parent, guardian or adult. That parent, guardian or adult must be at least 21 years of age.

And don’t plan on staying out all night!

The website states trick-or-treating will end at 8 p.m.

I believe that the state of Viginia needs to put this practice in place.I have had older teens coming by my house for years and they aren’t even dressed up. carrying pillow cases for their treats.

how is it you can say the parent must be 21 years or older when there are kids having children as young as 12 or 13 more commonly 17/18. they wont be able to take their own children how fair is that to them or their children or the person who will then have to take them

Waynesboro is well known in Georgia for being a crazy town. Really? How do they intend to enforce this?
