Richmond officer involved in car crash

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - The Richmond Police Department is investigating a Wednesday morning crash that involved one of their officers.

The incident happened on Hull St. near the intersection of Bryce Ln.

The officer was not injured, according to Richmond Police spokesman Gene Lepley. He added the officer was not responding to a call at the time of the accident.

The crash had some lanes of traffic closed in the early morning hours, but those lanes reopened prior to the morning rush hour.
