Shots fired during Petersburg robbery

PETERSBURG, Va (WTVR) -- Petersburg Police are looking for at least two suspects, involving in an armed robbery.  Police say the scary attack happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Investigators confirm at least one of the two robbers walked into the Four Star Grocery & Deli store, located on Johnson  Road armed with a gun.  He pointed the weapon at the store clerk and demanded cash.  At some point shots were fired, fortunately no one was hit.

An active investigation is underway.  Surveillance cameras are located both outside and inside the store, however a store clerk and police would not confirm if the cameras are operable.

Police told CBS 6 reporter Jerrita Patterson the suspects did get away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
