NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CNN) — Country singer Dolly Parton is on the mend after getting into a fender bender in Nashville Monday morning.
Parton was in the front seat of an SUV that was struck by another vehicle after the other driver failed to yield at an intersection, according to Nashville police.
Parton and the driver of her Nissan Xterra, 68-year-old Judy Ogle, were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, the police report said.
Parton and Ogle have been close friends since elementary school, according to previous interviews.
The country icon was was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. She sent a tweet after the incident saying she was OK.
