A New York delicacy has arrived in the River City, and can be found in Short Pump. Tom Leonard’s Farmer’s Market in Richmond launched their version of the cronut last weekend.

In case you missed it, a cronut is a mix between a croissant and a doughnut and it’s been the pastry of New Yorkers eye since it first hit the bakery shelves in May 2013.  -They’ve been willing to stand in line for hours to get one and it’s spawned tons of imitators across the country.

The actual name “cronut” is now trademarked by a New York bakery, so Tom told CBS 6 that he’s named their version “fro-doughs.”

He said they’re delicious, but his sister is still tweaking the kitchen recipe. He also said to get there early, they’ve been selling out fast.

You have to journey to Middle Suburbia to buy one. That address is 4150 Brookriver Drive Glen Allen, Virginia.
