RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - A man was stabbed following a Thursday night argument near VCU campus, according to an alert from the university.

Witnesses said blood on the sidewalk and roadway was that of a homeless man, or transient, who frequented the stoop across from Gresham Court apartments on Ryland Street at Franklin Avenue.

The victim was transported from the scene when CBS 6 arrived. No word on the victim's condition.

The following suspect description was sent via the VCU Alert system:

  • Black male
  • 6’ tall

  • Jeff

After a thorough description, I think I found the suspect they described. Its Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics.

  • Carly

This guy was so nice and friendly! He was a polite homeless man, not one of those annoying ones who beg for food and money. He never asked me for anything. One time he offered to help me get my bike out of my car because it was really heavy and I couldn’t get it out. I gave him chips a lot.
