RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- The driver of a car is facing charges after slamming into a school bus carrying 34 students in Church Hill Friday afternoon.
The accident happened just before 3:50 p.m. near North 27th and S streets.
Richmond Public Schools’ Felicia Cosby said three students complaining of neck and shoulder pain were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The bus was carrying students from George Mason Elementary School.
Police said the driver of the car was issued a summons for failure to yield.
The crash caused $50 in damage to the bus.
