RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Some area students, members of Mothers Against Drunk Driving and VCU police tied red ribbons around the school's campus Wednesday morning to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving.

MADD's "Don't Blow It" campaign aimed to raise awareness among young people about a new law that requires people who are convicted of a DUI to have ignition-interlock devices installed in their vehicles.

MADD had a vehicle equipped with the device on display, so students could see what they would be forced to drive with convicted of driving under the influence.
