The 17-year-old's lawyers said the teenager got the job at Morrissey's office by lying on a job application and a resume. Lawyers also admitted that the resume was sent to 22 other companies.
"She has given a lot of prayerful thought on this matter," the teen's lawyer said. "She wanted to set the record straight."
In documents obtained by CBS 6, the teenager said she was 22, graduated high school in 2008 and worked three years before attending college. However, her lawyers say she is just starting college this year.
Morrissey's relationship with the girl is in question after the girl went to his house last month to discuss a crisis involving her father. Lawyers say that there was no sexual contact between the two of them, but that Morrissey was polite and professional.
The Henrico Commonwealth's Attorney is still investigating the incident and will decide whether or not Morrissey will be charged.
